MLP

I've written a few issues in the My Little Pony universe over the years, and had a good time doing it! All of these have also been reprinted in various trade paperbacks, and in most cases also digest-sized hardcovers with other stories, so you may come across them in your local comic shop, bookstores, or even someplace like Target.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #54, featured Angel Bunny and a slew of animals. With all the time I spent volunteering at animal shelters over past years, this story holds a special place in my heart--and I really loved this cover.

The regular cover shown here, along with interior art, is by Jay P. Fosgitt, with additional covers by Sara Richard and Jennifer L. Meyer.

As described in the solicitation for this issue, "When Fluttershy is summoned away, it's up to Angel bunny to keep the animal sanctuary running. Will his bossy management style backfire when the other animals refuse to cooperate?"

My Little Pony Friends Forever #35 was a story focused on Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer.

The regular cover shown here, along with interior art, is by Jay P. Fosgitt, with covers by Jay (shown), Tony Fleecs, and Nidhi Chanani.

The solicitation summary read, "Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer tidy up the library in the Castle of the Two Sisters. What begins as a friendly activity soon turns into magic-based battle of egos and starts to transform the castle into a very dangerous place!"

My Little Pony: The Haunted Dungeon was IDW's offering for Halloween ComicFest in 2016. As you may know, every year comic book shops celebrate Halloween ComicFest by offering up FREE comics to their customers. I did a signing at Third Eye Comics in Annapolis, Maryland that year and signed a ton of free comics for folks!

This issue was a reprinting of the "Friends Forever" I wrote listed below, and featured art by Amy Mebberson, and cover art by Sara Richard.

Here's the description from the Diamond Previews solicitation: "Strange things are afoot in the Crystal Empire so Shining Armor calls in his sister Twilight to help find the source of the mysterious occurrences. When the trail leads to King Sombra's dungeon, will the siblings find the culprit - or their doom? "

My Little Pony Friends Forever #4, featuring Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor, had a regular cover shown here, along with interior art, by Amy Mebberson. I especially loved the character design of the dreaded "Crystal Ghost" featured in the issue.

A slightly different solicitation was used for the original issue, which read: "Twilight Sparkle plans to spend some much needed quality time with her brother, Shining Armor, in the Crystal Empire. However, when a mysterious ghost starts haunting the castle, the siblings will have to use all of their combined monster knowledge to save the day!"

My Little Pony Micro-Series #9 starred Spike, and was the first issue of MLP I wrote. The cover shown here is Cover A, by Amy Mebberson, inspired by the poster for the film, American Beauty. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Interiors and Cover B are by Agnes Garbowska, and I couldn't have been happier with how the artwork turned out. I had the good fortune to meet both Agnes and Amy at New York Comic Con that year, and tell them how much I enjoyed their work.

In this issue Spike takes on the responsibility of being a pet-owner. But he's going to get more than he bargained for when his Sea Beasts ("just add water!") arrive in the mail.

(Yes, I never got over my childhood disappointment with mail-order Sea Monkeys. This story is about what I HOPED they would be like...)
